The Easter Fun Begins

We had an Easter Party last week with all of the MBA families. The festivities started with a family picnic (on the gym floor thanks to the snow falling outside). Then the games began (so the Easter bunny would have time to hide all the eggs).Acting out animalsThe crab walk"If your happy and you know it shout Hooray!"Nathan hung out with Dad during the games. I think he was a bit intimidated by the SWARMS of kids. The Easter Bunny arrivesand the egg hunt begins.

Checking out the loot

Egg hunts are so fun!

Brielle and her friend Cayden (Cars Cayden, not Firefighter Cayden. The 2 Cayden's are differentiated by what type of birthday party they had.) Nathan was worried that the Easter Bunny didn't have any candy, so he decided to share. He was a little intimidated by our fuzzy friend so it took some guts to approach him. "I did it! I did it!"
More Easter fun to come...

In About 6 Months...

One of these will be joining the Mackrory Family: We are thrilled! We look forward to welcoming a new member into our family. I am currently 12 weeks along (and very happy to have finished the first trimester :) ). The baby is due on October 6th. When asked whether she wanted a brother or a sister Brielle paused, then diplomatically answered "TWINS, a brother and a sister." I think Jared secretly shares her hope. I don't. :)

What were you doing...

At 9:30 last night?

Here is what Nathan was up to...
Due to a late nap Nathan wasn't tired when we put him to bed at 8:00. Instead of putting up a fight, he simply asked for a book, his drink, and his blanket. When I checked on him 45 minutes later I decided to give him his basket of books. At 9:30 he was still happily reading. At 9:59 he called for Dad, said he was done with the books (he had them all neatly packed back into the basket instead of thrown all over the room as I had feared). He said he was ready to go to sleep. Dad asked if he wanted his light on or off. "On." Would he like the door open or closed? Long pause. Sly grin. "Closed." I'm not sure what happened in there after that, but when I checked on him before going to bed, he was sound asleep.
