Hinton Family Reunion

At the end of June, we had the privilege of meeting all the rest of the "Hinton" family in Williamsburg Virginia for a wonderful family reunion. I loved being able to spend time with my wonderful family. Here are a few pics to document our trip:
If you look closely you can see there were even road signs leading us to the "Hinton" Reunion. For cool.
Cousin Twinners!! Grandma and Grandpa bought these shirts for Brielle and Gabbi. They just happened to have the same skirt as well. Brielle adores Gabbi. Especially after spending a whole week "entertaining" her while we were on our cruise in May.
A dragonfly!
One of my favorite stops was the glass house at the Jamestown settlement. It was SO amazing to watch these gentlemen make glorious things from melted glass.
Look carefully...there are Dad and Nathan off to go fishing. Too bad I wasn't closer. I loved Nathan with his pole over his shoulder walking next to Dad.
We spent a wonderful day at the beach (where I took most of my pictures :) )
Brielle and Gabbi
The founders of this family. Man, I love them!

We got to meet miracle Baby Caleb for the first time on this trip. He is such a cute little guy. A highlight of the reunion was hearing him laugh like crazy at his Dad making faces at him. Too cute.
Michelle and Brielle build sand castles together
Beach camp
Nathan gets Grandma Kay loves. Grandpa Ken sleeps amidst the chaos.
Our sand castle
Oreos. Mmm.
Cute Briellie
We were in such a wonderful historical place that we HAD to take the opportunity to learn more about the birth of our nation at the various national parks etc. We also got to learn more about the final seige of the civil war (Petersburg) and to see the base where my Grandparents lived early in their marriage. Too cool. After a few days, Brielle and Nathan, who had been so good during these tours etc, earned a "kids day" with Dad. They started at the park.
Then popsicles at a fruit stand
Riding the ferry to the blueberry patch
Picking blueberries
Eating blueberries (and homemade ice cream)
We were lucky enough to be together for Gabriella's first birthday. Michelle made some darling cupcakes and we partied down. Gabbi was too cute! Of course. The best part was that she refused to eat her cupcake...or ice cream. Silly girl! She got after her mom and scooted away (that's right, she scoots on her bum instead of crawling. It is darling.) as fast as she could.
Opening presents
Girl time...making bracelets. So fun. Thanks Mom and Dad.
Learning ABACABAC patterns with her Aunt Shonna.
Concentration
Our welcoming committee to the park.
We went canoeing. Beautiful. Peaceful. Fun.
We ran into the Princes out on the lake.
Pink and Blue girls. Ava (my cousin's daughter), Brielle and Gabbi. It was so fun to see Devin and Sarah that day too!
On our way back to DC we stopped at Mount Vernon. Mom braved the LONG line to see George Washington's home with me. It was so neat to be able to see it. What an amazing man he was. He was chosen of God to do what he did. I felt that so strongly after spending a few hours on his estate.
Meeting the Washington Family
Mom and Dad in front of the Washington Home. Thanks for making so much of this wonderful trip possible for us. We love you guys!
Playing with Grandpa Ken at Brian and Michelle's
We took advantage of the close proximity to visit Brian and Michelle in their apartment in the DC area. It was so fun to see where they live. They treated us to a delicious dinner and great company. Thanks guys!
We also stopped at Blake and Shonna's on the way there and back. They were fantastic hosts as well. Thanks too for planning the reunion for us. You did a terrific job!
We love you all. Thanks for the many treasured memories.

Good times, good times! Thanks for stopping by at our place; it made me really happy! I'm pretty sure that the pic of Brielle posing on the beach is one of the cutest I have EVER seen. Where was the "Hinton" pic taken? That's awesome!

It was so, so fun to see you guys! And Eva loved your kids. Too bad we can't live closer so they could play together more often.
